Running Challenges At Waianiwa

It was a sunny day when we all excitedly climbed on the bus at the school gate. Once aboard we sat down and as soon as we were all in our seats the doors closed and Z O O M we were off to the cross country course at Waianiwa. To pass the time on the way there we sang songs with Mrs R, Miss McGinnis and Mrs Cowan. Soon the bus began to slow down and it stopped in the car park. We were given our instructions and then we were allowed to get off the bus. There were children, mums, dads, babies in prams, granddads and grandmas all walking through the gate and across the paddock. We all lined up and nervously waited for the signal to move to the starting line. At the starting line we looked down the track and listened for horn to start. H O N K and we were off. We had an adult running in front of us so we didn't go in the wrong direction. Jumping off hay bales, skipping over the cow pats, squishing through the mud and struggling to get down the bank to the finish line without falling over went lots of children. There were a lot off children who were breathing hard, thirsty, tired, puffed and hungry once they had passed the finish line. We were very proud of ourselves because we had all tried our best. Can you think of a new fun way to encourage people to wash their hands?
Would you have different smelling soaps?
Can you think of some funky shaped containers you could use?
